Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville, Ohio. (Licking County) Friends and family may call from 1-4PM, Sunday, at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street in Newark, where a Wake Service will be held at 1PM. Mrs. Smith, 85, of Newark, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, June 6, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Sherry, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 12, 1927, in Ganister, Pennsylvania, (BLAIR COUNTY) a daughter of the late Steven and Anna (Thomas) Rabits. Mrs. Smith had been a supervisor at K-Mart. Surviving are two daughters, Sherry (Al) Koklich of Granville, Ohio, Karen (Bill) Bodnar of Cochranton, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Justin (Heather) Koklich, Kelley (Joseph) Forster, Chris Corbin, Jason Corbin, Jared Corbin; great grandchildren, Katelyn Koklich, Jack Koklich; one brother, Frank Rabits of Altoona, Pennsylvania; one sister, Ruthie Tancos of Courtland, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Wagstaff, her second husband, Charles Smith; five brothers and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Ohio; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
