    1. Hello again :>
    2. Clare
    3. Hi, I wrote yesterday and wanted to answer some of the questions I'm getting. First of all, PLEASE send your introduction and any info about your county or name TO THE LIST. I'm just administering the list and have no information for anyone :> You can find the list name in the TO: space above. Second, "to adopt a list" means to accept responsibility for the list, sub and unsub people who are having trouble doing it themselves, and building the list by talking on it and helping researchers to discuss their names and counties. You do NOT do any research for them. For the surnames lists, go here to adopt: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/sponsors.html and for the counties go here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/clusters/adoptcounty.html Please go here: http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/wizards/ to see more about what administering a list means. I'm glad to help anyone but if you have research to share or discuss or questions about that, please send it directly to the list :> -- Clare Peden Midgley mailto:Clare@RootsWeb.com Allegheny Co, PA Genealogy: http://www.rootsweb.com/~paallegh/ For SUBSCRIBE info and MORE LISTS: http://communities.rootsweb.com/ FREE ###### FREE ###### FREE UNLIMITED WEB SPACE: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/acctform.cgi

    1. Lenora Mariam 'Mamie' Moore
    2. Robert A. Moore
    3. I'm looking for descendants of Lenora Mariam 'Mamie' Moore who was born probably 1895 in Chahalis, Washington. She was abandoned by her mother and her father, Fulmer Moore, died March 1908 in Chahalis. Her guardian sent her to St. Rose Academy in Aberdeen, Washington. Then the trail grows cold. St. Rose Academy records have been lost and 'Mamie' disappeared without a trace. No evidence of her existence after this time period has been found. No marriage records, no school records, not anything. The 1910 US Census is not indexed and I have be unable to locate her in this census. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go from here? Robert A. Moore Incline Village, Nevada

    1. George and Emma Perkins and Bessie Stevens Search
    2. Thank You Ron! Hi Ron, I had a wonderful conversation tonight, with a very nice lady named Sharon of Montesano, WA. She is the great-granddaughter of George and Emma Perkins and the granddaughter of Bessie Stevens. Ron, there is absolutely NO WAY I could have done this without you, the information you sent me and some tenacity by a terrific lady named Marlene McGowan, there in Montesano. I took the information you had been sending me and started making calls, sending e-mails and made several trips to the local National Archives and Federal Records Repository, here in Laguna Niguel, CA. On Monday I walked out with scant additional information and called Marlene who had been doggedly tying loose ends together for me. I had Sharon's number within two days. Now I'm hoping to come up with her brother George, born, I assume, in Chehalis County in 1899. While we're at it, any suggestions for a cemetery or how I can send for birth/marriage/death certificates in Washington? This is where the amateur aspect of genealogy fails to garner the much deserved attention it deserves. I wish I were there to shake your hand and I'm sure Sharon feels the same way. Thanks again, Ron. Maybe sometime I can return the favor. Take Care, Kevin O'Brien Laguna Hills, CA

    1. Lenora Mariana Moore
    2. Robert A. Moore
    3. What ever happened to my Lenora Mariana Moore? She was born about 1897 in Montesano, Chehalis County, now Grays Harbor County, Washington. Her father was Fulmer Moore, her mother is unknown. Fulmer's obituary does not shed any light. In his will, however, her father appointed Charles Levitt on Montesano "guardian of my little daughter Lenora Mariane Moore." Fulmer Moore died in 1908 and in 1912 Mrs. Charles Levitt wrote a post card referring to Lenora, indicating she was alive, well and still living in the Leavitt household. What happened to Lenora? Did she attend school in Montesano? Did she marry and raise a family in Grays Harbor County? Did her death occur in Washington State? After years of searching for Lenora, not a single new detail has been uncovered. Any assistance or suggestions will be gratefully received. Thanks for your consideration. Robert A. Moore Nevada
