    1. I will never give up!
    2. Robert A. Moore
    3. A plea for help--- What ever happened to Lenora Mariam Moore? She was born about April 1897 in Montesano, Chehalis County, now Grays Harbor County, Washington. Her father was Fulmer Moore, her mother is unknown. Fulmer's obituary does not shed any light on this mystery. In his will, however, Lenora's father appointed Charles Leavitt of Montesano "guardian of my little daughter Lenora Mariam Moore." Fulmer Moore died in 1908 and in 1912, her guardian's wife wrote a post card referring to Lenora, indicating she was alive, well and still living in the Leavitt household. What ever happened to Lenora? Did she attend school in Montesano? Did she marry and raise a family in Grays Harbor County? Did her death occur in Washington State? We know she attended St. Rose Academy in Aberdeen, Washington. St. Rose Academy files date from 1925, so nothing is known about her being there previous to this date. After many years of searching for Lenora, not a single new detail has been uncovered. Any help, assistance or suggestions will be gratefully received. Thanks for your consideration. Robert A. Moore Nevada

    3. Hi Bob: The 1880 Federal Census for Gray's Harbor County is in the permanent collection of the FHC in Elma. But he would be12, and his father may not have family included if no child under 10. It was about 1910-1912 when name of county changed. Others could supply exact date. He is probably too old for SSDI. County land records may give insight, and historical museums in Monte and McCleary may be of help. What about 1900, 1910 and 1920 census? Jim Pearson pearson@rio.com
