She was a daughter of Moses Wages and Rebecca Smallwood Moses was born in 1794 in South Carolina, but Rebecca was born in Morgan Co. KY. It appears that your Eliza Wages was born about 1811, so maybe it is possible that the 1823 Eliza is a niece of your Eliza? Not sure, but thought I'd pass this on to you. Have you seen the book, Descendants of Benjamin Wages? This is where I found this information. Anita Wages

The one you are researching is Littleton Mance Hammit Wages, b. 1836 in Fairfield Co., S.C. I am researching Littleton Phillip Wages b 1835 Madison, KY and died 1913 in Exline, Appanoosa Co., IA. I do not have anything at all on your Littleton Mancel Wages. Perhaps I do not know what I am talking about, the Littleton Mance Hammit Wages is new to me. I am really confused by the information I have found. Her gg-grandfather was Littleton Mance Hammit Wages, b. 1836 in Fairfield Co., S.C. and is buried in Clear Creek Cemetery, Tippah Co., Ms. and was married to Mary Wilhite. Their daughter is Sara Pulla Jane (Crick) Wages who is my wife's g-grandmother. My research also found the Littleton was murdered abt. 1865. My wife's family is from Pontotoc Co., Ms and we go there often. If you are interested, I will try to get to get this straightned out and let you know. Also, on the other side, my wife's gg-grandmother was Caty Jane Wages. Patrick
