    1. [WADE] Where did the WADEs in 1820 Gwinnett Co GA migrate from?
    2. Eldon Wade
    3. First let me apologize if you receive more than one copy of this as I am posting this to more than one list. Do you know anything about any of these folks who appear on the 1820 Gwinnett Co GA census? 316. Asa WADE 310001-10001-0 540. Edward WADE Sr. 000001-00001-0 575. John WADE 210010-30010-0 632. Edward WADE 000010-20100-0 650. James WADE 010010-32010-0 According to William C. Steward in "Gone to Georgia" these WADEs had Southside VA antecedents. Also according to Steward these folks came to Gwinnett Co via NC and Pendleton Dist SC. Steward goes on to say the Edward WADE Sr. and Edward WADE (Jr?) above moved to DeKalb Co GA by 1830. Here comes the questions: Question 1: Are all five of these guys from the same family? Question 2: Is the Edward WADE Sr. here the same one who was on the 1790 Pendleton Dist SC census? Question 3: Is either of these Edward WADEs the one who sold land in Pendleton Dist SC in 1804 while he was a resident of Elbert Co GA? Question 4: Is the James WADE above and either of the Edward WADEs above the James and Edward WADE who witnessed a 1810 Elbert Co GA deed for Joseph KING? Thank you for any assistance you may provide. Eldon <mailto:ewade@cfl.rr.com> mailto:ewade@cfl.rr.com Researching surnames: Hames (SC,GA,AL), Jaquess Jaquish Jaques (TN,AL), Wade (VA,SC,GA,AL)
