Becky, Sounds like your Waids were not as illusive as my Wades were. My GGGrandmother was a Rebecca Waid according to the Marion County, Alabama Census.(1850). However, her son John A Waid married Atha Stephens and they moved to Franklin County, Ala and subsequently the name changed to WADE. I traced my Wades to Arkansas in 1915 except my father came to Fla in 1929. BRWADE625@AOL.COM
