Hi Folks, Pardon me if you receive more than one copy of this as I am cross posting because I need your help (and the lists are kind of slow). I am looking for info on the Edward WADE who appears on a Mar. 3, 1804 Pendleton Dist SC deed where he sold land to Moses HOLLAND. On this deed Edward is referred to as "Edward Wade of Elbert Co., Ga.". Moses HOLLAND, a rather well known SC Baptist minister, also witnessed a deed for a Edward WADE in the 1790s. On this deed Edward is shown as having a wife named Nancy. Also as witness on this deed is William KING. William KING, himself a SC Baptist minister of some renown, lived for many years in Spartanburg Co SC and was the minister of the Head of Enoree Baptist Church in the late 1790s. Moses HOLLAND and William KING were closely associated in the Big Creek Baptist Church in the early 1790s. Living with William KING and wife at the taking of the 1830 Spartanburg Co census was an E. WADE. This E. WADE is suspected to be Elijah WADE who may be the son of this Edward WADE. 1. Could this be the Edward WADE who is on the 1800 Pendleton Dist SC Census but is not on the 1810 Pendleton Dist census? (There is another Edward WADE on the 1810 census but is younger than the Edward on the 1800 census). 2. Is this Edward WADE the one who was b. abt. 1760, m. a Nancy (no surname), and was the son of the Edward WADE who d. in 1790 in Greene Co GA? 3. Could this Edward be the one who appears as a winner in the 1805 GA Land Lottery while as a resident of Elbert Co GA? 4. Is this the same Edward WADE who was the subscribing witness for a Oct. 1,1825 Hall Co GA deed where Elijah WADE purchased land? 5. Has anyone seen any info on an Edward WADE in the Elbert Co GA records? If you can provide any info that may assist in answering any of these questions your assistance would be very appreciated.
