Bill, Yes, that is the same Obadiah. The researcher who did work for us was trying to determine if my James was a son. In doing so (he is not a son) she found will records for Obadiah and his mother which I have still have copies of. I can post them if someone would like them. I have the following wills from Goochland Co., Va., Grisle Wade- probate 1768 William Wade- probate 1772 Barren Co., Kentucky Elizabeth Wade- probate 1826 Obadiah Wade- probate 1840 Thomas W. Wade- probate 1836 James S. Wade- probate 1854 I also have a copy (in poor condition) of Obadiah's complaint against the estate of his son Thomas. If anyone wants these posted let me know.
