Ph(o)ebe [--?--]) "WorldConnect" at RootsWeb is great, but when you find conflicting info, it's hard to know what to believe. Downloaded GEDCOMS yield the following: Danny Luther ([email protected]) shows Isaac Wade's father as Henry Wade, Jr. (b. 1740) and grandfather as Henry Wade, Sr. (b. abt. 1720). Erwin and Bev Hudson ([email protected]) show Isaac Wade's father as Joseph Wade (b. 1750, "circa North Carolina ?"). The Stampers ([email protected]) show Isaac Wade's father as Joseph Wade (b. 1758, NC; d. "WFT Est. 1779-1849"). Perry Rawlinson ([email protected]) shows Isaac Wade's father as Henry Wade (b. 1740, Hanover, VA; m. Lucy Turner); grandfather as Henry Wade (b. 1689/1690, St. Peter's Parish, New Kent County, VA; m. Judith Via, b. Hanover, VA); great grandfather as James Wade (b. 1660); great great grandfather as Edward Wade II (b. 1640); great great great grandfather as Edward Wade (b. 1611, England; m. "Jane ???"). Unfortunately, none of the GEDCOMS came through with notes or sources. Does anyone have any definitive or even circumstantial evidence supporting the parentage of this Isaac Wade (1776, NC-1758, MS)? Will gladly share info on descendants of Isaac Wade that I have in my database (I descend from daughter, Sarah, who married James Shows). Hope somebody out there has the info we all need to link Isaac to his parents and ancestors conclusively. Bill Derrow Washington, DC
