Many people on our list, through the years, have worked with: Mary Ethel WADE CANNON She was one of the rare researchers who researched GEORGIA WADES. She had done literally years of research and so freely shared everything with others. She would take time to handwrite, have copies made, even do research without being asked, for anyone and anything she felt could help another in their research. She was one of the researchers whose main body of work came about way before computers or the internet, when most all of the research was done through travel and many hours looking at old documents. Her thorough work and her backup documentation was truly awe-inspiring! We learned of her passing last September, through our Christmas mail and the goodness of her relatives. Her husband had a stroke almost one month to the day in October after she had a heart attack in September! (They could not get her to the hospital in time.) I miss her so very much.
