> ------------------------------------------------------------ in regards to the info on the wades of amherst co., virginia....where did your daniel wade come from? there is a long line of wade decendants from daniel orland wade who came from england to teach school in newburyport, massachusetts who was sent by the british government. if he was sent by the british to america it must have been pre revolutionary war. in any case he had two sons that have been passed down through each branch of the wades i have had contact with. one son was sargent.the other son was william. william wade married elizabeth taylor. her father has been found to be william tarlton taylor of virginia. william and elizabeth had numerous children. i am from his son john william wades line. i am in contact with edward hampton wade sr's line and thomas sewell wade's line. i have some of the other information on a couple daughter's/sisters. several of the brick walls i have encountered are #1. who was daniel orland wade married to? #2 where did he come from in england? #3. who were his parents and so on back? #4. did william and sargent have any brothers and sisters? #5. john william wade married who? who was my great great grandmother? #6, john and ? had my great grandfather cassius hampton wade in ohio i believe. near delphos or somewhere in possibly van wert co. ohio. but maybe in virginia. #7 did my great great grandparents have any other children besides cassius hampton wade? #8 cassius hampton wade married mary almeda jane klinger and they had numerous children before he died. when, where, and why did he die. mary almeda jane remarried someone grandma lee referred to as dad washburn. cassius and mary had my grandmother lelia ermond wade. she changed her name to lela wade and married george thomas gusler. they had a son george wade gusler and he married and i was one of their children. does the history sound familiar to anyone and if so you can reach me at: [email protected] thank you for any help. carole holmes > > Subject: [WADE] Wades, Amherst Co.
