Hi, I am a cousin of Judy Murphy's. Her computer is "dead" because of a virus she received. It was automatically spread through an e-mail attachment to many people on her address list. She feels so bad that it has spread to many of her friends, and she can't even get to her address book to be able to send a notice to all of you. She has given me as many addresses as she can find and asked me to contact you all. If you've received a recent "odd" email from Judy with an attachment, and if you tried to open that attachment and it ran on your machine, you are probably also affected and should take action to clean your machine. It could already be spreading to people on your email address list. We've found out that the e-mail text and the attachement file name has been different for each person it was sent to. The one we received was a file named "weeks.bat". If you did not open the attchement and allow the file to run, you probably don't need to worry, just be sure to delet! e it, then empty the trash from your recycle files. One person who received an odd email from Judy did not have an attached file, but her email software executed some virus code and her machine was infected, anyway. I hope this notice helps prevent you from having some serious computer trouble. --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Sports - Coverage of the 2002 Olympic Games
