    2. Judy Bates
    3. List Administrator, Please "unsubscribe" me manually from my old address- [email protected] - I have gotten into a pickle because I am "subscribed" with 2 addresses and therefore get 2 of every message. I cannot use my old address to automatically "unsubscribe" but I am still getting messages that are addressed to me at that address. I would really appreciate it if the Administrator would take care of this matter for me and I hope others do not make this mistake of not "unsubscribing" while they still can use their old address.. Thank you, Judy Bates

    2. Dean, The will I have for Obadiah lists only "my only surviving son Fielding T. Wade." He makes no mention of any daughters, but that does not mean he didn't have any. The will was probated in Barren Co., KY in 1840 (written in 1839). Carolyn

    1. Re: [WADE-L] James Wade- 1787
    2. Dean, If Obadiah is related it is as an Uncle. He is definitely not the father of James. We have already thoroughly explored him through a private researcher. We are fairly certain that all the Wades in Cumberland/Barren/etc., Ky. are related. There are just so many of them. Carolyn

    1. [WADE-L] unknown Wade
    2. I am search for an unknown female Wade who married a William Harper Garner around 1800-1810. They were the parents of Calvin Wade Garner b: ca 1811 and it has been suggested that her father was Calvin Wade of the old 96th district of South Carolina. Does anyone have a Wade family who fits. I would really appreciate any information. Emily

    1. Re: [WADE-L] James Wade- 1787
    2. Jay, I think you are right about one of the James being Ballenger's son. Someone on the Wade Genforum listed the dates fro my James (birth and death) and listed him as the son of Ballenger. I had seen this before, but was confused because they have him married to Jane King. Both of the James in the Barren County 1850 census are married to women named Sally. I think the "other" (not mine) was married previously since his wife Sally is almost 25 years younger than him. My James was in Cumberland Co., Kentucky by 1820. He is listed as living very close to Richard Wade (probably Ballenger's son). I will have to check land records since Ballenger gave a fairly detailed description of the land he left to James. Hopefully this will break open new ground. Thanks, Carolyn

    3. I will look among my MS Wades, but the book is not indexed and mine were several counties over from Attala. Try posting on that county site also http://www.rootsweb.com/~msattala/ There's also a discussion of heraldry there some may want to read. The Carroll Co. site is http://www.rootsweb.com/~mscarrol/ It also has links to Vaiden history. The MS site said Vaiden is in Attala now,but it used to be a county seat of Carroll. It traces ONLY the line of Zachary Wade, 1627-1677, who was the immigrant ancestor (from England to Maryland, and later to Tennessee). The library of Congress Catalog Card # is 63-17254. I bought my copy on Bibliofind 3 or 4 years ago; copies come up once in a while. Bibliofind is gone now (swallowed up by Amazon) but abebooks.com is alive and well. I just checked; they don't have a copy at the moment. I have a copy, and do lookups. Also, I indexed the book, and will send that out to anyone who wants it (big document).
