I found this interesting in that my graqndfather became a citizen on the same day. The rite of passage took place in the Cowlitz County Probate Court on 7 October 1896. The new citizen was Herman Pack or Paek or Pach. However, he signed his name as Herman Poih. If anyone is researching a name similar to this one and thinks that this may be something they want, I would be happy to send it to them.
