    3. Hi Everybody, The Budget Committee is meeting this week to determine our Budget for 2000-2001. I will include in the Budget, expenses for a Gene-A-Rama for March 2001. We have some great speakers and many new members join SKCGS during this event. This is also our biggest fund raiser for SKCGS. We need volunteers for this event. A SEMINAR/WORKSHOP chairperson and committee volunteers. If you're thinking "maybe", what is involved, how much time will it take, etc.? . . .Call me - 253-813-3957 The chairperson and volunteers need to start very soon. I've included the description for this chairperson and volunteers. SEMINAR/WORKSHOP Chairperson Supervises a committee to: Determine date and place of seminar/workshop. Example: Our Annual Gene-A-Rama. Determine speakers and their topics, make appropriate arrangements. Compose a flyer to be distributed promoting the event. Include telephone number to call for information. Distribute flyer to local libraries and mail to attendees of previous seminars. Make-up packets for pre-registrations about 3-4 days prior to event. Hold a raffle in connection with the event. At two general meetings prior to event, encourage each member to be responsible for selling five raffle tickets. Solicit door prizes. Prepare sign-up sheet at meetings prior to event asking for help setting up/taking down tables and chairs, donating cookies, hosting and staffing consultation table, if one is offered. 3. I will do the raffle and will help with the packets. I can help with anything else you need help on (except calling for speaker or speakers). :-) Speaking of speakers...we talked about the possibility of having one big name speaker for an all-day seminar. Are we planning on doing that for the next Genearama?
