    2. For those that were not at the last meeting, following is the info on the William Dollarhide Seminar being presented by Heritage Quest Research Library next Saturday. Saturday April 14, 2001 Heritage Quest is celebrating the beginning of our fourth year in Sumner with an Open House. Special Guest Bill Dollarhide will be presenting some great classes. Four classes of one hour each will be held at the Sumner Public Library, 1116 Fryer Ave., Sumner, WA (Across the street from Heritage Quest) Bill Dollarhide is the author of such great genealogical publications as: Managing a Genealogy Project, The Genealogy Starter Kit, Map Guide to the U.S. Federal Census 1790-1920 (with William Thorndale), Map Guide to American Migration Routes 1735-1815, British Origins of American Colonists 1629-1775 (with Ronald Bremer), Americans Best Genealogy Resource Centers, The Census Book: A Genealogists Guide to Federal Census Facts, Schedules and Indexes, Grow A Family Tree: Seven Simple Steps, The Red Book: American State, County & Town Sources (co-author-Maps) Open House, Drawings, Door Prizes, and Refreshments all day long at Heritage Quest. Morning Sessions 1) 9:00-10:00 Wagon Roads in Colonial America Identifies the earliest migration routes 2) 10:30-11:30 County Boundary Changes The impact of county formations and boundary changes on genealogical research - which county has the records now? Lunch Break 11:30-1:00 A list of local area restaurants will be provided. Afternoon Sessions 3) 1:00-2:00 Forgotten Public Land Records The steps to obtaining case files of land transactions which can be a genealogical treasure-trove. 4) 2:30-3:30 Using Deeds to Trace the Trails of Your Ancestors The genealogical results from using deeds to identify land ownership; confirming a particular name, date and place; and clues to an ancestors travels.
