Hi, everybody, I'm so sorry I couldn't make it to the GeneaRama. In other years that I've had to miss, it was because I was down in Arizona visiting family, but this year, it was a much sadder reason. My Mom (Lola McBee Cowan) died a couple of weeks ago, on President's Day. She had been very ill for only a week before that time, although her health has been on the skids for some time, and I can't remember the last time she felt well enough to come to a meeting. Her obituary was published in the South County Journal, or you can see it at: -- well, shoot, the Feb. GenConnect posts are still missing, so I guess the So. Co. Journal is the best place to see it, or I can forward a copy to any who are interested. Thanks for the card from the Society; that was a comfort for the family.
