    1. [WASKCGS-L] So. King Co. Genealogical Society March 17th meeting
    2. JT Arnold
    3. Hello! The South King County Genealogical Society is proud to have Sally Gene Mahoney speak on Searching Irish records at our next meeting. It's Saint Patrick's Day, and the program is all-Irish as Sally Gene Mahoney explores preliminary and later steps to as much success as is possible in tracing Irish ancestors, provides some useful on-line sites and tips, and covers the main resources available in this country and the Emerald Isle. Having returned last October from a month long trip to Ireland, Sally will also have some on-site research experiences to share. After retiring from a career in journalism, Sally has used the talents of a successful newspaper reporter to learn how to ferret out - and prove the accuracy of - all the facts and details in her family research. She is active in the Seattle Genealogy Society, having served 6 1/2 years as the editor of the society's quarterly "Bulletin", and is the author/compiler of the "Index to Bagley's History of Seattle", a major three-volume, 2,200 page 1915 work. Our celebration of St. Patrick's Day will also include Irish inspired refreshments and door prize drawings. Date: Saturday, March 17th Time: 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. - Social Hour (come browse our Sales Table, checkout our other tables) 10:15 - Noon - Meeting & Program Place: First Baptist Church of Kent 11430 SE 248th Street Kent, Washington Topic: Searching Irish Records - Where Do We Begin?
