    2. Betty Cooper
    3. Emma Livermore sent me comments on her stint at the Library that I wanted to share. Also am including a note from Tom Tombarge in case any of our volunteers are not on the SKCGS Mail List. Looks like our efforts are well worthwhile! Betty Emma says: I had a very smart and nice lady come to the library today while I was working - her Grandmother had done the family history and genealogy etc., and when she died no one knows what happened to it all. This lady is going to start all over - she had no idea where to start so I spent a good hour with her and I think I have her pretty much on tract. I will keep in touch with her. She teaches music in the Auburn schools and lives in Buckley. She will be joining our society and will come to the Gene-a-Rama too. It really made me feel that our efforts of having people available down there will pay off. >From Tom: Thought I would make a report of my 1st experience as a SKCGS Auburn Library Volunteer last night. It went OK but only 1 visitor - a non-member who is ready to join us I believe. He attended our last meeting so that is how he found out about it. I was actually able to give him some pointers on his research plans. His name is Bill Coppernoll and he used to work with me at Boeing. He is a man with talent (even if he wears long hair - 8 >)) The night was quiet so I was able to do some research of my own. The Volunteer badge was/is where Betty said it would be - in the plastic container on top of the lateral file cabinet. The printer jammed the first two attempts I made - come to realize that there were only 2 sheets of paper in the tray and I think they were damaged sheets before i even sat down at the machine. Fortunately I brought some with me and it worked just fine after that. I left quite a few pages in the tray when I left - not sure if one of us will use it next or who might?? The other thing I will mention is that I never could get the CD's to change - and I followed the instructions we were given. Maybe i was not doing something?? Maybe Trish can check it out??
