Hi Charles: Thanks for keeping us updated on the Library Budget Problems. None of these choices will be easy. My opinion, for what it's worth, is that they should try to keep all branches open at least part of the week. Terrible to close a branch permanently! The downtown library is of utmost importance, but if they have to close part of the time, it should be on Monday. (Maybe a bit of personal prejudice involved here!) To me, the library, police and fire departments are not negotiable items. Without these, we have no viable city. And to Tim Eyman, I can only say "Thanks to you for causing this whole dreadful problem." All responsible citizens need to realize that we don't get anything free. We need to pay for it. I detest him for creating this problem in the first place. OK - that's my sermon for today! Doris
