Hi guys - By golly, I think that spring is FINALLY here or at least it is for me. I am back among the "standing tall" people and glad that I now have two new knees. Just call me the bionic woman! Anyone know how Wally is doing - he was to get a new knee also. I want to thank all for you for the many cards and even more good wishes. Obviously they helped a great deal. That was nice and definitely boosted my spirits. I thank Shirley for doing a super job in presiding at the March meeting. Now that spring is here, we have many exciting 'irons in the fire', so to speak. I am really looking forward to having Sabine come visit us from Germany (via Salt Lake) for our June meeting. Remember that WILL be our June meeting. Then we have Leslie Collier coming from Texas for the Annual Workshop so it sounds like we have lots of different, educational things to look forward to, plus fun. Marvelene is following through with all the military classes and hard to believe how many different wars there were. That will be good for everyone, I think. Even those of us who say we have been researching forever. For instance what do you know about the Spanish-America War? My father was born in 1898 and was given the middle name of a General while his cousin was luckier while be given the name of a Admiral. That plus Teddy Roosevelt rode up San Juan Hill, so I know that I can learn alot about that time period. See you at the April meeting. Come and bring a friend.
