SOMETHING EXCITING IS COMING UP for EWGS! On June 5th, 2004 - the regular meeting day for EWGS, we will be having an all-day German Seminar. It will be held in the main auditorium of the Spokane Public Library and we can brown bag it. Our speaker will be Sabine Schleichert from Muenchen, Germany but she will actually be coming to us from Salt Lake City. She is a professional researcher, lecturer and has had 15 years experience researching in the German Archives, covering the 14th through the 20th centuries. A member of the German Association of Professional Genealogists, she speaks German, English, Latin and a little French. Her specialties are searching for emigrants, church and secular records, as well as heir searches. Sabine has been coming to America for several years to speak to various genealogical societies We are very fortunate to have her join us - more information will follow. The main thing you need to consider - you do NOT have to have German ancestry. Keep on researching and you will probably find some!
