    3. Help! My gggrandmother, Eliza Jane Prince was born in Royalton, 25 Apr 1824. Her parents were: Samuel PRINCE, b 10 May 1790, Hillsboro NH; d 15 Apr 1869, Whitewater WI Eliza __________, b d ca 1833-1835 Eliza Jane's WI death certificate states that her mother's name was Eliza, and nothing more. Does anyone know of a marriage record in Royalton, or Windsor County, for Samuel PRINCE, and Eliza _________, ca 1812? So far as I've been able to ascertain, Samuel and Eliza must have married around 1812-1815. Assuming he moved westward, and found his bride in her hometown, and then his children were born there, that would make Royalton their place of marriage, and the place of her death, prior to his migration to WI. His gravestone in Whitewater WI denotes him as, "First Settler," as he built the first cabin there, in spring of 1835. This line of my father's family has been my brick wall for more than 26 years, and I am hoping that this marvelous internet accessibility will at last solve this puzzle. Thanks in advance, for any light anyone may shed on it. Julie Hesson, Flock Mistress, International Black Sheep Society of Genealogists "Come Show Off Your Ancestral Scoundrels!"
