Derby was settled in 1795 (doesnt say where the settlers came from)....town grew rapidly and annexed Salem (Vt)in 1881. ------------------------ Morgan,Vt: originally called Caldersburgh, settled about 1800 and organized in 1807 ------------------------ Norwich,Vt: settlement began 1763 by men from CONNECTICUT - ----------------------------------- Troy,Vt: on the Canadian border, settled by men from CONNECTICUT in 1799, .
