I too would be interested in the restructuring of towns/cities/villages. It might help in our research. I grew up in a village; by 1960, it was changed to a city, because of population change. Is it possible for a city to lose its status because of loss of population through the decades? Once it is chartered as a city, can it ever be lowered in status? Is that why so many towns disappeared or were renamed? Patricia
