SPRINGFIELD--Aug. 24--Funeral services for John Abel Adams, 73, who died early Saturday at his home on Dewey street, will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Davis Memorial chapel. The Rev. Clifford O. Simpson, pastor of the First Congregational church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Mr. Adams was born her October 30, 1868, the son of Abel and Susan (Felch) Adams. He was employed for over 30 years by the John T. Slack corporation until 1930, when he resigned to become a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rilla Fairbanks Adams, and a daughter, Mrs. Wendell Williams, both of Springfield. Transcribed by, Joan H. Bixby
