Caira HOISINGTON (Aaron-5, Sayles-4, Elias-3, Ebenezer-2, John-1) was born. Caira HOISINGTON and James CLOUGH were married.25 James CLOUGH was born. Caira HOISINGTON and James CLOUGH had the following children: +35 i. Emily Louse CLOUGH, born on 8 Jan 184426; married John R. MARTIN27. 29. Charles HOISINGTON (Lyman-5, Sayles-4, Elias-3, Ebenezer-2, John-1) was born in 1856.23 He died in 1918.23 Charles HOISINGTON and Luella MORSE were married.22 Luella MORSE (daughter of Chapman MORSE and Amanda R. HOISINGTON and Emma MORSE were married.22 Emma MORSE (daughter of Chapman MORSE and Amanda R. WILLIAMS) was born. 31. Many of the older residents of this day remember Will and his dogs. he lived both in Gilead and the Hollow. The famous Barnard panther was seen lying on a rock by the roadside in Gilead a day or so before he was killed in Barnard. Will was informed and brought his doges there. They trailed the panther all day before they lost the trail over towards Barnard. A day or two later the panther was shot in Barnard while sleeping off a feast of young pigs. Will was the last of the famous Hoisington family of bear hunters. Old timers say if you listen carefully on a clear still night you can almost hear the melodious bay of a Hoisington bear hound lamenting the days long gone. William HOISINGTON and Etta A. POND were married.22 Etta A. POND was born in 1868.23 She died in 1949.23 William HOISINGTON and Etta A. POND had the following children: 36 i. Robert HOISINGTON was born in 1896.23 He died in 1964.23 37 ii. Marie HOISINGTON was born. 38 iii. Susan HOISINGTON was born. 39 iv. Helen HOISINGTON was born. Seventh Generation 35. Emily Louse CLOUGH (Caira HOISINGTON-6, Aaron-5, Sayles-4, Elias-3, Ebenezer-2, John-1) was born on 8 Jan 1844.26 Emily Louse CLOUGH and John R. MARTIN were married.27 John R. MARTIN (son of Henry MARTIN and Betsey WILLARD) was born on 2 Nov 1839 in Rochester, Windsor, Vermont.28 He died on 16 Jan 1908.26 He was buried in Randolph Cemetery, Randolph, Orange, Vermont.29 Two Vermont Hollows, A History of Gilead and Little Hollows, by Leyland E. John served in the Civil War in Company a, 16th Vermont. Three children were born to them, and one adopted. Emily Louse CLOUGH and John R. MARTIN had the following children: 40 i. SMITH, in 190132. Eighth Generation 41. Charles N.
