Hello! I am new to the Windsor County Vermont list, but I am a descendant of Abel BALDWIN, Jr. and Rhoda Stent PLANT, both of whom were born in Cavendish. My problem is that I cannot find their marriage record and do not know much about researching in Vermont records. I did write to the Town Clerk for Cavendish and also to the State for a marriage in Cavendish. Neither one was able to locate one. They may have married in some other town, or maybe in another state since the New England states are small. Supposedly they married Oct 06, 1813. Their first child, Rhoda S. BALDWIN, was born about 1816 in Vermont. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, would the births of their children (1816 to about 1836) be recorded somewhere? Town Hall, or elsewhere? I will appreciate all replies, and I'm willing to share what I have with other researchers. Thank you! Anna Bertram (In Middle Tennessee)
