Janice, Thank you so much for writing. I am fortunate to have Ms. Welch's book and have found it very useful. My problem is I have to have a document to prove the marriage. That means I need a copy of the marriage record, or a copy of the registry of a child's birth that lists both of them as parents, or a copy of some other original document that proves their marriage. Any ideas where I can obtain this proof other than the Town Clerk at Cavendish or the State personnel checking Cavendish records on microfilm? Again, I thank you for your kindness in answering me.
