    2. Source, Rutland Daily Herald--Thur. July 22, 1886. LUDLOW, VT. The hearing of the suit of T. H. Blakely against B. B. Fullam for maliciously injuring his bicycle Saturday night, July 10, began Tuesday at 10 a.m. before Justice W. D. Ball and a jury, and lasted till 1 a.m. Wednesday. The verdict was $18.33 damages, $9.24 costs. W. W. Stickney and A. C. Peck for plaintiff, M.H. Goddard for defendant. At the democratic caucus held Saturday, Martin H. Goddard, Michael Gillagan and Elisha W. Johnson were elected delegates to the state convention. Commander R. Hathorn, Duane Ross and Hiram Bixby start Thursday for San Francisco to attend the national encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic, to be held there August 3. Rev. C. J. Taylor of East Bethel and Mrs. Arthur Taylor and son of Boston are guests of Mrs. Moses Pollard--Mrs. Ford from Maine is sojourning with her mother, Mrs. S. S. Clark, on lower Main street -- Miss Abbott of Hannibal, Mo., is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mason.--David Hemenway of Vergennes is in town.--Mrs. Henderson of Salisbury is with her daughter, Mrs. M.
