Capt Steel SMITH was born in Farmington, Hartford, Connecticut.1 Illustrated Historical Souvenier of Randolph, Vermont, Compiled & Published by Nickenson & Cox, Published Randolph, Vermont 1895, p. 91. He was the first settler of Windsor, Vt., having ascended the Connecticut river in boats from Hartford, Connecticut. He came from his native place, Farmington in that State. Capt Steel SMITH had the following children: +2 i. Samuel SMITH, married Lucy2. Second Generation 2. Samuel SMITH (Steel-1) was born. Illustrated Historical Souvenier of Randolph, Vermont, Compiled & Published by Nickenson & Cox, Published Randolph, Vermont 1895, p. 91. He was the first white child born in Windsor, Vermont. Samuel SMITH and Lucy were married.2 Lucy died in Randolph, Orange, Vermont.1 Illustrated Historical Souvenier of Randolph, Vermont, Compiled & Published by Nickenson & Cox, Published Randolph, Vermont 1895, p. 91. Died at the home of her son, Dr. John S. Smith, M.D. She was 94 years of age. Samuel SMITH and Lucy had the following children: +3 i.
