I am researching my Morse ancestors. My ggrandfather was Elias Curtis MORSE. He was a doctor. After the "Thompsonian" way. I think that means he was an herb doctor. He was born about 1806 in VT. I am looking for his parents. I have a strong suspicion that his father was Elijah Morgan Morse and his mother was Hannah Curtis Morse. I wonder if anyone on this list can help me. I understand that the VT town records are fairly complete. I think he was born in Windsor County. In 1810 there was an Elijah Morse in Royalton and in 1810 he was in Norwich. Since only heads of households were mentioned, I don't know if Elias Curtis was one of his children. I did find and Elijah and Hannah Morse on a rootsweb family tree. One source had Elias Curtis listed as a child and others did not. Would Elias's birth be recorded in the town records? Can anyone check for me?
