Source--Rutland Herald--Feb. 19, 1940 MRS. JOSEPHINE FRENCH BETHEL, Feb. 18,--Funeral services for MRS. JOSEPHINE FRENCH, 88, who died yesterday, will be held at the house on Royalton Hill Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be North Royalton cemetery. Mrs. French was born in Royalton December 28, 1857, daughter of Albert and Eliza (Petrie) Day.She was educated in Royalton academy and Friends school, New York City. Much of her life was passed here. Her husband, GEORGE FRENCH, died many years ago. She leaves a cousin, Mrs. Frances Jane Moors of Boston.
