I have Sarah Jane Nichols who was born in Plymouth, Windsor Co., VT in 1837. She married Aloten (Lot) Bennett in 1854 who was from Peru, VT. They both died in Mendon, Rutland, VT. I do not know who her parents are. The 1880 census states that her father was born in NY. I know there was also another group of Nichols in Plymouth, because a Samuel Nichols married Laura C. Coolidge, daughter of Oliver Coolidge and Mary Polly Wheelock, in 1834 in Plymouth. I show them having 4 children: Laura, Samuel A., Julia, and Lucian. Blessings, Jill Watters Rains
