This may be a fooling question, but are you sure Knight is her maiden name? If she had been married previously to someone who died she could be using her married name when she married for the second time.. >> VTWINDSO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the >> quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > VTWINDSO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message
Good point, Bev. I have questioned that because I cannot find a Knight family that has a Tirzah. The only reason I think it may be Knight is because that is what the 1896 letter said (and again, could be transcription error or faulty memory.) I have found no Knight families in CT at the right time, several Knight families in VT, even ones who were judges but none with a daughter Tirzah who married a Simeon. I tried looking at all the judges in VT at that time, especially those named White, Wright, etc, but still cannot find Tirzah's family. Her daughter Sarah Williams Doolittle died in 1889 in IN and her death certificate left the mother's name blank. I just found Sarah's brother Adin in the 1880 census (under Adin William--no "s") living in California so today I requested a death certificate for him, hoping that the mother's maiden name will be revealed or confirmed. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bev Lasure" <vtrealtr@sover.net> To: <vtwindso@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 08, 2008 6:02 PM Subject: Re: [VTWINDSO] Meadow Lands area > This may be a fooling question, but are you sure Knight is her maiden > name? > If she had been married previously to someone who died she could be using > her married name when she married for the second time.. >> > VTWINDSO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the >>> quotes in the subject and the body of the message >> >> >> ------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to >> VTWINDSO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the >> quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > VTWINDSO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message
