During the past several years I have copied the Herrick vital records for Vermont and have them from about 1760 to 1908 (the first two sections). That is probably all I will copy. I have recently started to see what I can find out about the Herrick folks that were in Windsor, West Windsor and Hartland. They all seem to be connected to Abel Herrick who came from Plainfield, CT via what is now Sullivan Co., NH to West Windsor, which was previously part of Windsor. Abel Herrick was married to Polly Partridge in 1791 in Plainfield, CT. He wasn't one for recording the births of his children! The first child of which I am aware was born about 1797. I believe there were probably some born prior to that time and am seeking information to prove that. Anyway, I have typed up a seven page document containing Windsor/West Windsor Herrick Information; this consists of census records from 1800 to 1880. Included in this are the Vital Records for Windsor, West Windsor, and Hartland for these Herrick folks. If anyone would like a copy of this document, please let me know and I can attach it to you in an e-mail. And if anyone is familiar with a Martin Herrick whom I believe is an early son of Abel and Polly, supposedly born in Plainfield, CT per his War of 1812 pension, please correspond with me! He enlisted in Hartland, VT per his pension. Joann Nichols
