    3. >From Rutland Daily Herald Wednesday Morning December 17, 1930 Twenty-Mile Stream Correspondent Mrs. Walton Greene Mrs Florence Haven collected $20 for the Red Cross from the Stream. This place was well represented at the Farmers' meeting at Don Belknap's Tuesday evening. Here is to be a Christmas tree and exercises at both Twenty Mile Stream schools Friday evening at 8:15. All are welcome. Mr and Mrs Louis Schmidt from New Canaan Conn., were at Brook Farm for two days last week. Miss Beatrice Warren and friends from Albany NY spent the week end at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs J. C. Warren. Mr and Mrs Allen Buswell and family of Tyson visited at the home of her mother, Mrs. Belle Spaulding Sunday. Mr and Mrs Mervin Barker, Mr and Mrs V. B. Slack and son Kimball, attended the funeral of an old neighbor Mrs. Jennie Pollard, in Ludlow Wednesday. Mrs Florence Haven, 82, had her teeth filled in Ludlow last Friday. Mabel Butler returned from the Rutland Hospital Saturday. News has been received here of the death of Mrs. George Green of Perkinsville last Saturday. Recent guests at the V. B. Slack's were their daughter and family and his niece, Miss Ruth Slack from Springfield and her aunt Miss Alice Kendall of Amsden. Recent callers at James Spaulding's were Mr and Mrs. Lee Hull of Brownsville and Raymond Stearns of Ludlow. Transcribed by Rebecca W. Tucker
