One of the older settlers in Little Hollow was Charles Morse, who made some kind of a land swap with Daniel Child on June 5, 1818, and moved from Bethel to Little Hollow, Rochester (Book 3, page 379 Rochester Land Records). He was a veteran of the War of 1812. They had nine children. He owned several plots of land in Little Hollow as his name is found on several land transactions. He succeeded Daniel Child as clerk of the school district there.
