Does anyone recognize this person? In 1790 the town of Hartford filed a petition for the appointment of a person to sell a 50 acre lot belonging to Reny Dunkin, a blind orphan Negro girl of that town. An intestate probate case was opened in 1791 for a Thomas Dunkin of Hartford. I'm wondering if this could be Reny's father. The 1791 Hartford, VT census has an "other free person" living in the household of Joshua Rider. I think this could be Reny. Any additional information welcome! Joann Nichols
