    3. Becky, Thank you anyway. I really appreciate the effort you made. I have obtained proof of the birth of Rhoda Plant in Weathersfield from the Town Clerk as a by-product of searching for the marriage record. It is so strange the marriage record has not been found in Cavendish or Weathersfield. (At least not yet.) My next plan is to start looking for births of the children of Rhoda Plant and Abel Baldwin, Jr.,at the Town Halls. If both parents are listed, the DAR may accept that as proof of their marriage. Also, when Abel (Jr.) sold the land it is possible Rhoda relinquished her dower rights. Are the land records also at the Town Clerk offices? Any other suggestions? Again, thank you for the help and guidance! I did double check the library files and did find mention of the PLANT family genealogy, under Rhoda "b. 20 Nov 1792 m. 6 Oct. 1813 Abel Baldwin of Cavendish (see Baldwin gen)" and the "Baldwin gen" was not there. Sorry I can't be of more help. Becky Tucker

    3. Anna I see in the Families of Cavendish book there are some Abel Baldwin listed. An Abel b. in Cavendish on 12 March 1791 and m. 6 Oct,1813 Rhoda Stent Plant. Son of (Abel)5 (Thomas) 4 (Joseph )3 (Thomas)2 (John) 1. . Then a couple of paragraphs on him, and says in died at Blackford County, Indiana 15 August, 1839 All information you might already have? 3. Janice, Thank you for your kind assistance. However, it is proof of this information that I am now seeking. It needs to be a document instead of a book. Sincerely, Anna Bertram In Middle Tennessee

    3. Yes town land records are at the Town Offices, also on microfilm, I understand, at Middlesex VT Records Research. Becky YOU WROTE: .
