I am seeking records from 1800-1820 or so. I saw James Hoit/Hoyt/Holt in the 1810 census for Royalton, Windsor Co.VT pg 553 and seek details. I have had trouble tracking James Hoit because he moved frequently and there were several of the same name. He is supposed to have married Mary Peebles and had several children including Samuel, Mindwell, Asa, Mahalah, James and others. My research is through Asa and I believe they traveled into Vermont. James was supposed to be born in 1779 in Concord, NH, so he would be about 30 years of age in 1810. James died in Lowell , Ma. in 1842 of complications of diabetes.
