I have access to the 1810 census, and yes, I see James there listed nextdoor to a William Hoit and not far from Abraham Hoit. They are all 26-44 so it's very possible they are all brothers. What I have are HISTORY books, with some genealogies of longterm or founding families included. They are by no means vital records. I would suggest that you go to your Family History Center and order the appropriate microfilms of the vital records of Royalton. If you're not aware of the Family History Centers, go to http://www.familysearch.org and click the Family History Library and follow the prompts to find one near you. The friendly people there will help you order the films, they usually cost about $3.50 each and take 2-5 weeks to come in.
