Assembly, dated Windsor, Mar. 18, 1778, stating that he "went with the militia to Ticonderoga and was there at the time it was evacuated, and served as a Lieut. for the term of fifteen days from the time he left home till he returned, for which he has got no pay as yet. The reason why he was not returned with the rest of the subalterns and soldiers was because he had not got a discharge from the Rangers that were under the command of Maj.
