I just came across a record in my files that may be of interest to those researching the Hoisington family in Windsor. Some years ago I requested a copy of the birth record of Samuel Cook Wheeler. On this same page is this written notation regarding the birth of Ebenezer Hoisington *Reysell* (difficult for me to decipher this name), adopted son of Ebenezer Hoisington Jun and Sarah his wife - born at Windsor in the State of Vermont November 4 1795. Recorded June 15, 1802 at the request of the said Ebernezer Hoisington Jun. It is signed by William Huntington, clerk. In may of this year pwallred1@frontiernet.net posted some family information to this list and the name Ebenezer Hoisington was mentioned. Unfortunately, I do not have the name of the book that this page is a copy of, but perhaps the info may be of interest to someone on this list. Joan Brady Norstedt

Hi Jim, Below is some of the information that you requested on my FOGG family of Hartford, VT, transcribed by Mary Shearer from Phyllis Whitten's book. Sorry, I am not able to post to the message board. Hope this is the information needed for the researcher you are helping. Would you please ask this person to contact me directly to see how we might be related? Thanks! Happy searching, Jan Jordan in VT From: <victoriawoodhull@yahoo.com>(Mary Shearer) Date: Sat, Dec 3, 2005 George E. Fogg is not the son of Ebenezer Fogg, according to Whitten's book. He is the grandson of Ebenezer; his grandson was living with him in the census of 1850. On one page she says George was born in Hartford Ctre., Vt. On another she says "Hartland Centre, Vt." In any case, she says George E. is the son of George W. b. Aug. 15, 1812 in Hanover, NH and died Apr. 7, 1883 in Canaan, NH He married on May 1, 1838, Minerva A. Wood. Minerva was born Jan. 16, 1814 in Grantham, VT. And died March 13, 1886. She was the daughter of Jonathan and Annie Dinsmore Wood. She does mention that the death record of Minerva says she's the daughter of Baptis and Adeline St. Michael Wood. George W. is #2004 in the book and is son of Ebenezer Fogg, b. July 18, 1785 in Meredith, NH. He died March 15, 1855 He married Nov. 22, 1811 in Hartford, VT., Hannah/Priscilla Tirbon She was born Aug. 1, 1787 in Bridgewater, Vermont and died Aug. 10, 1874 in Hartford, Vermont. She was the daughter of Isaac and Mary Tirbon. Ebenezer was the son of Samuel Fogg (1761-1828) He married Hannah Barton, daughter of Ebenezer and Margaret Barton of Chichester, NH. Samuel was in the revolution. Can find more info about the family in the History of Meredith, NH. Samuel was the son of Phineas Fogg and Lydia Pierce Fogg. The actress Connie Hines, from Mr. Ed, descends from this line. She descends from Phineas and Lydia's son Samuel. Anyway, Lydia's maiden name was Fogg. She is the daughter of Simon Fogg and Lydia Gove, and the granddaughter of Seth Fogg and Sarah Shaw. Therefore, she's her husband's first cousin. Phineas was the son of Samuel Fogg and Mary Dearborn and grandson of Seth Fogg and Sarah Shaw. Seth, of course, was the son of the immigrant Samuel. I forgot the important part of the story. Russell Wilcox Redfield married Evaline Kelly. Her father was Joshua Kelly and his father was Ebenezer Kelly from Harland , Vermont. Soo do you think we are connected? Levi Redfield was an itinerant music teacher. He traveled Vermont and New York starting singing schools which were popular in the early 1800's. late for work Linda ----- Original Message ----- From: Janice J.<mailto:jnrose@webtv.net> To: vtwindso@rootsweb.com<mailto:vtwindso@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2007 1:14 PM Subject: Re: [VTWINDSO] Secretary of State - petitions on POWERS Hi Linda, Which POWERS' family are you related to?
