These records apparently belonged to an attorney named Davis in Felchville. I looked through some of the records and saw the names Brown, Barrows, Bent, a Fred Morse and what looked like Julius Morse apparently from Underhill. There was also mention of a Simeon Buck on a subpoena. I believe he is buried south of Bridgewater. George, Minerva and Samuel Bent and Levi Weatherbee. Those are some of the names. We could all understand if that were the case. When I initially bought these things at an auction I did so to keep them out of the hands of dealers with the intention of getting them in the hands of a a historical society or scanning them and putting them on a website. Unfortunately I never got around to doing either one. I always wanted to be a procrastinator but never got around to it. What I think I will do is get the records out and post the names on the records to the list. My scanner is in storage in West Lebanon NH. I am going up there on Tuesday with the intention of getting my junque out of storage. Most of it is my book collection. Something like 40 boxes, but will get my PC, monitor and scanner and some furniture. I am on my laptop right now. Then when I get home and get things set up scan the records and make them available to who ever is interested. I also have pictures of tombstones from all over Windsor Co which I did when I was volunteering at _www.raogk.com_ (http://www.raogk.com) . Do you think I should list those too? They are on the computer in storage. There are some Darling and Washburn I think from Montpelier too. Two summers ago I photographed tombstones for the Hartland Historical Society. They are on the website for the Hartland Historical Society. Bear with me and I will see what I can do. I'm interested in anything about either James FITTON or Robert FITTON of Cavendish. My G-grandfather, Robert, who was married to Helen Marie HILL, regularly appeared in courtrooms, and subsequently visited various jails and the VT state prison. I am also interested in the family history of the HILL family, especially my G-G-grandfather George S. HILL. Bob Hedin rehedin@aol.com

Hi: If the records cover Windsor County in general, correct. However, I got the impression from the original post that it tended to focus in the general vicinity of Windsor (Town). If that's the case, Sharon and Royalton entries would be less likely. The person with the records would have to answer that question. Darrell -- Darrell A. Martin darrellm@sprynet.com

I am looking for my Morse family. Elias Curtis was born about 1806 in VT. He always gave that place of birth in census records that I have seen. But I cannot find his parents. Are there any birth records for Windsor County VT that might help me? How can I find them? Are they online? Inez ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darrell A. The West Windsor Historical Society would probably love to have them. You could donate them with the provision that they could give the Cavendish society any that applied there so that they wouldn't be locked into keeping ones that don't apply to their town. ----- Bev Lasure
