I have several ancestors from Massachusetts who were married at Halifax, VT. It appears that there was an establishment on the Halifax/Colrain border that was quite popular for marriages. I assume that Massachusetts couples were married in the Halifax part of the building, and Vermont couples were married in the Colrain part. Does anyone have more information about this establishment? Are these marriages part of the vital records of Halifax? Two of the Marriage Records I'm trying to find are: Abner B ALDEN & Emma Caroline RANNEY on June 1, 1850 Samuel E EDDY & Sarah D TODD on July 3, 1849 Thanks, Syl in Florida
