    1. Re: [VTWINDHA] WHITNEY, Eleazer
    2. Hello, Your query somehow intrigued me, even though I have no Whitney's (as yet, anyway). On Ancestry.com I found his Revo. War Pension Application in the DAR lineage books. (application No. W22611, wife Martha). I also found AN Eleazer in Ancestry's Worcester County Probate records dated 1758, an administration type record in Westboro (town). Also found Martha Crozier was b. 3-9-1768 & d. 11-25-1865 both in Halifax, VT. Why not write Halifax for his death certificate? Is there a book on the Whitney family? Maybe a try on a large library's on-line catalog would point to it. Going along with the probate record, I found AN Eleazer married 11-9-1743 Mary Grow in Westboro, Worcester County, MA Gook luck. 3. Hi, Martha, Thank you for your reply. I have been lucky with this query as so many people have responded and I've gotten some really good clues of where to look next. One woman went in on Genealogy.com and found an online book that gives a tentative clue to his ancestry. This gives his probable father as another Eleazer and goes back to a Henry, who was brother of the John who was the main person written about in the Whitney genealogies. I appreciate your interest. Good luck with your research. Joann Nichols [email protected] wrote: > Hello, > Your query somehow intrigued me, even though I have no Whitney's (as yet, > anyway). On Ancestry.com I found his Revo.
