I'm a little further along than I was, and it appears that I'm looking for Martin Haskins, whose father was apparently Rufus Haskins who m. Michael Harrington. There might also have been another Rufus Haskins in the next generation older. They all show up on census records. Martin m. Helen Pratt in VT, and his parents were also married there, but there are no records of either marriage with the State of VT. Thanks again for looking.
