Does anyone have any ideas where I could look for my g-g-g-grandmother Margaret Carmody Hart's death record or tombstone? She may have been living with son Thomas Carmody in Springfield, VT and died between 1891 (signed an affidavit) and 1900 (not in any Census, not in St. Mary's Catholic church death records which start in 1901). I walked St. Mary's cemetery while visiting in New England and didn't find a tombstone, although I found Thomas'. He died in 1906. The Springfield town clerk didn't have anything. Margaret was born around 1818, probably in Liscannor, County Clare, Ireland. Maiden name Leyden. Middle name probably Mary. Michael Carmody was first husband, Daniel Hart second. In 1880 she and Daniel were living in Charlestown, NH where son John lived. John died in 1892. The catholic church there has no record of her death and neither she nor Daniel are in the cemetery.
