    1. Cemetery Listings Stratton?

    3. Evening, folks. I'm hoping some kind soul might help me out. I have two Amos PARSONS in my database - father and son. Amos PARSONS (Sr) born 1733, Gloucester, Essex, MA, place of death unknown and Amos PARSONS (Jr) born 1759 MA and died somewhere in Vermont. There are references to Amos Sr. as "Capt". I have the book "Soldiers of the Revolutionary War Buried in Vermont" by Walter H. Crockett and I found Amos PARSONS in Stratton. My question is: which Amos fought in the Revolution and is buried there? I'm hoping (wishing) that there might be a cemetery index somehow/somewhere accessible. Does anyone have any suggestions or even vague hints for me??? I'm afraid it's pretty hard for me to get to Stratton right about now! Thanks for taking the time to read my quest. Have a great weekend, everyone! regards, Kate Sowdon kgsowdon@adelphia.net

    3. Amos parsons was 72 in 1832 so it must be Amos Jr. He enlisted as a private from Ward, Worcester County, MA and moved to Stratton, Vt. He said in 1840 that he was going to move back to Mass to be with his children. From the Revolution War Record at Heritage Quest. You can see the record at the National Archives and Records Administration or perhaps through your local library at Heritage Quest. Bob
